Why even download it if you won’t get pro? Just don’t, the free version is useless. Wow I can open a webpage and highlight in either yellow or orange. Whoop dee doo. The free version purely exists to advertise their Pro Version which still probably isn’t that good and is costly. No thanks

How do you even annotate?!?!?!

I can’t erase my marker and there are only 6 colors. Not convenient.

For the love of all that is holy, change the value of your background color to something other than “burn retinas” or implement a dark mode. This should be a 5* app if it wasn’t for lack of dark mode and Superman set the hex value for the current background. He is literally the only one that could possibly stare at the screen for more than 10 minutes at a time.

It shouldn’t be this difficult to see the claimed tools and features in action before a user makes a purchase. The onboarding experience is like a seamless gateway to make a purchase right away. No way to gauge if it’s even worth it or working as expected. Looking elsewhere. Thanks

Gotta have it. Makes my life so much easier to keep organized! I love to capture websites and craft ideas in the moment so I can have later access to my collection!

I really enjoy the annotation and reading features of this app, as it makes note, taking highlighting, and overall pdf readings easy to follow and easily read on iPad! Great tool for college students

No way to import bookmark links for markup. Help files for using are not correct and confusing. Apps like this that waste peoples time with fancy advertising and fail to deliver need to disappear. It gets real old real quick.

Another app that asks repeatedly for permission to send notifications. Sick of these. A productivity app is supposed to make you productive, but that's hard to do with disruptive nagging. It's like having a (stupid) coworker throw a glass of cold water in your face every time you want to save a page as a PDF.

Super easy

So here it is. Kinda in the middle of something, app. I do like it. Wish that (a) you could buy not subscribe and (b) there was less of that ‘online experience’. I just need to read and markup docs. I don’t need or want to be part of ecosystem.

Great for studying from a PDF. Makes highlighting and note taking very easy.

It’s simple and gets all my annotations done. As a teacher I love it for lesson planning!

I often get pdf bills via email and view magazine articles that I have paid subscriptions to that I can’t save because the other pdf viewing apps can’t save the resulting PDFs. But Markup almost always works where most other pdf apps don’t.

New to product but it looks like it has a lot of potential

Not THE Best, but pretty darned good at the basics and beyond! I'm not the most gifted at speech writing, calling out the faults of one of anything over another, and come to think about it, I'm just not that crazy of creating a laundry list (I often wonder about the origin of this saying, "laundry list"; the heck you say! Ha, ha, You thought I was too insignificant to think this deep, didn't you?! Well here's not the place to toot a horn by or for the author of this review, since I've already exhausted a majority of my life, working day and night tireless, trying to find the answer! I have even earned more than one doctord it, so when I say this app is pretty, I mean it's beautiful; when I say this app is darn good, I mean what my doc say's to me; and when I say to my audience "not that crazy", you can bet , or better yet, Google my degrees of doctord it, for I've spent the majority of my years in Professional Academia and should have done better at "not that crazy, anymore"!) This app is really good!

So great to use with my cross stitch patterns.

Great product, a useful tool

What did we ever do before we had cell phones? Better yet what did we do before we had this app?

I love this app for annotating my college textbooks! If you are a college student this would be PEFECT for you. I specifically like how when I highlight the text it automatically copies into the annotation section so I don’t have to write an entire new note or copy/paste into a google doc. However, I wish I can see the entire statement that I highlight in the annotation section of BOTA without having to go back onto the page in which I highlighted the statement to begin with. Also, there should be something to explain exactly what BOTA is. I got bookmark and annotations but not the other letters.

Updated review: Probably a good app; however, it's useless to me without an expensive annual (or monthly) subscription, which I simply cannot afford. I would consider a one-time purchase.

I use this app for my school work and when ever I try to writing some this to do my math it always has spikes coming out of the numbers and letters also then they want you to pay . Honestly girrrrrllllll. Your better of using paper or docs cause just like what the heck oh well i hope this review helps y’all byeeeee

Editing a pdf and no matter what the app refuses to save any marks I made on the first page. Wasted a ton of time

But wish it crossed over to desktop as well

I’ve been using this app to analyze research papers, because it’s just like writing and highlighting on regular paper. Very helpful for classes, and taking notes.
